UChicago Robotics
I was honored to design the logo for UChicago Robotics, winner of the 2021 Outstanding New RSO award and, since its conception in 2021, one of the fastest growing student organizations on campus (proven by the over $40,000 allocated to our budget!). After several potential drafts were conceptualized, the final design puts a modern, hexagonal look to the traditional phoenix-centered emblem of the University of Chicago.
I've also been creating other promotional items for UChicago Robotics, like the poster shown below (designed with the intention of being read from several feet away, and printed at 4' x 3'). Not only was I responsible for producing the written content, but I also wanted to take this opportunity to solidify the visual persona that the organization would take on. With a clean, modern slate, but with typefaces that remain approachable, this design serves as a snapshot for the perceivable identity of UChicago Robotics.
I went on to design the website entirely in Webflow, with no prior web design experience. From interactive elements, to grid layouts, to hover and click effects, I was so excited to experiment with design practices I had never had the opportunity to learn before.
Undergraduate Student Government
The University of Chicago's Undergraduate Student Government (USG) comprises over 10 committees that collectively manage a budget exceeding $2.5 million. Branding these branches consistently, which often supervised rather abstract concepts that were difficult to visualize, while adhering to the pre-existing USG logo, was a challenge I was excited to accept!
COVID-19 Awareness
During the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020, controversy surrounding mask use, as well as mask shortages, inspired me to raise awareness as best I could. The DIY mask infographic and its accompanying instructional video were viewed over 2,500 times.
